Kate Upton Makeup Tips

The refreshingly funny and free-spirited Kate Upton chatted us up about the downside of clear braces, the makeup artist she fired, her secret to keeping those famous assets in place—and even revealed the wonder products she can’t live without. After you try our exclusive interview with the star, keep scrolling to buy her seven must-haves.

Kate shares that Simple makeup has always worked best for her. She grew up in Florida, and thinks that may be part of the reason. She was really involved with showing horses, and that’s actually the first time she wore makeup: Before the horse shows, her  mom or older sister would help her put on lipstick or some eyeshadow. It was never about pageantry; it was a little confidence boost that helped her  feel more put together.

Regardless, wearing makeup isn’t the same as retouching for Kate Upton—it’s something she does for herself. It’s a look. It completes an outfit.

Furthermore, here are some of the makeup tips to look like Kate Upton:

Bobbi Brown Surf Eye Palette

“I’m a Florida girl, and all the shades in this palette shimmer ($65; bobbibrowncosmetics.com) against a tan. They’re neutrals with hints of sparkle.”

Dr. Hauschka Skin Care Cleansing Cream

“It has a slightly rough texture, so it exfoliates as it cleanses. My skin feels so soft after I use it ($27; drhauschka.com).”

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

“I love the formula as well as the brush ($28; bobbibrowncosmetics.com). You don’t have to apply a thousand coats—just a few swipes.”

Leonor Greyl Masque Quintessence

“Constant heat styling tortures my hair. This mask ($145; leonor greyl-usa.com) is my savior.”

David Kirsch Wellness Super Charged Greens Blend and Thermo Bubbles

“The thermo bubbles contain a mix of vitamins, so a shot of this gives me a boost of energy before my workout (Super Charged Greens Blend, $65/30 packets and Thermo Bubbles, $40/10 packets; davidkirschwellness.com).”

The Original Beauty Blender

“I don’t always apply foundation to my entire face, but when I do, I use this egg-shaped sponge ($20;sephora.com). It blends to perfection.”
