Tattoos are a great way to express yourself especially if you are an artist. Even more so, what makes it very interesting is that you can go as creative and as crazy as you want. Take Cardi B’s tattoo for example. It is a full leg’s length of an artwork. The 27-year-old American rapper has quite a number of tattoos on her skin but her most recent makeover is one that truly left us in awe.
Last Monday, Cardi B posted an update on Instagram about her most iconic and memorable tattoo to date. As of writing, she has about 9 distinctable ones but her most recent ink is probably our most favourite. In case you are wondering, in total, Card B’s tattoos cost probably at least $2,000 or so.
In several social media posts and photos, she shared a photo of a multicolored peacock print which covers a lot of areas of her body – her hips, her thighs and even a sizeable area of her back. The said tattoo is the work of Jamie Schene – who is no stranger to the 27-year-old’s body since he has done several others of Cardi’s tattoos.
“So after ten years, I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover. This whole week I been takin hours of pain getting tatted, shared the rapper on her Instagram.
With excitement, Jamie Schene also posted about his work. According to the artist, he improved on several elaborate details of the whole tattoo – from the feathers, florals and down to the butterflies. He also revealed that it took at least 7 whole days to get the job done. “I gave Cardi’s peacock a makeover! Thanks for the trust, @iamcardib. Your strength and determination is inspiring,” said Jamie. He even added that being tattooed 7 days in a row is literally no joke.
As you can see, Cardi B’s peacock tattoo boasts of vibrant colors and intricate details. Everything from the strokes to the keen attention to detail – it definitely looks like it was worth the hours and hours of pain.
If anything, Cardi B is no stranger to pins and needles. She has several other permanent artworks on other parts of her body. For starters, she has the name of her sister tattooed on her bicep.
